This was in a facebook group and I found it interesting, dunno if Yoko Ono actually said it but I don't doubt it:
"I read on a website today something Yoko Ono said
1. Try to say nothing negative about anybody.
a) for three days
b) for forty-five days
c) for three months
See what happens to your life."

I couldn't do it. I wish I could, I really do. It is pathetic how many of my conversations include complaints about people. Even if I tried, I am constantly surrounded by people who say negative things about others, and sometimes I do tell them to stfu (if it's really rude) but most of the time I just consider it venting, which is kind of necessary. & I am not saying I never start a conversation by complaining about someone, because I do.. it's like a silence filler for me, if I don't know what to say I complain - whether it's about school, people, clothes, anything. I hate the fact that I am like that. Anyway, just interested to see other people's thoughts.

sounds nice, but not possible.
on a somewhat nice level, i kinda believe the only way we really know what its like to be happy is if we know what its like to feel crappy. so if everyone was nice, the world just wouldnt work.
anddddddd im an asshole and enjoy making fun of people sometimes. but there are certain things i try not to ever make fun of...although you of anyone certainly know i screw up...i try not to make fun of someone for their beliefs (religion), something they have no control over (like a birth defect), or looks. but i think i am a total failure at the last one. sometimes i think "i would never say anything to someones face though" but its still mean.

but cmon when i think about your house shaking..i still laugh...:/

It's normal to complain about people and things. It's different to judge and say bad things about people that you don't really know, or based on how they look or something like that. From my perspective, I would think that's what Yoko probably meant. If you have a hard day, and people piss you off, you have every right to vent and get what you feel out. It's just the judgement thing, I think, that people should work on not doing. But that's just how I see it, hahah. <3

yoko was odd... when her marriage took a turn for the worst, she set john up with one of her friends and told them to move to LA... i mean, c'mon now O.o

but... it worked, so... guess i should listen and not judge =P
